Ola loses two senior top executives
App-based cab aggregator Ola's CFO Rajiv Bansal,
who was one of the most high profile hires at the firm, has quit the
company after a little over a year of joining, people aware of the
development said. Recently, the company's CMO Raghuvesh Sarup also left the Bengaluru-based startup.
Bansal had joined Ola from the IT major Infosys where, too, he was the
CFO between 2012-2015. Pallav Singh, VP operations at Ola, has been
made the interim CFO. Singh has been with Ola for over four years now.
When contacted, an Ola spokesperson declined to comment on the matter.
Recently, the cab hailing company's COO Pranay Jivrajka, the first employee of Ola, moved to the role of founding partner making way for PepsiCo executive Vishal Kaul who replaced him.
Bansal has also been in news regarding the Rs 17.4 crore severance pay handed out to him by his former employer Infosys, one of the many points of differences which have arisen between the founders and the present CEO Vishal Sikka.
Ola which has been hiring senior executives even as the churn continues said today that it has got on board Dr Badri Raghavan as its chief data scientist.
